This is disgraceful.
Over 90% of Redwood City residents rated our Fire Department as outstanding in a recent survey.
For years now, the city has repeatedly asked our Firefighters to work harder for less. Last year, during the height of wildfire season, they actually wanted to shut down Engine 9.
Every day that this is allowed to continue places our firefighters and community members at risk. Enough is enough!
Please e-mail Redwood City Mayor Giselle Hale at council@redwoodcity.org and ask her to put an immediate end to this madness and provide our Firefighters with a contract worthy of the outstanding service they provide to our residents every day.
